For parents wanting to monitor additional rooms or children in their house there’s the Summer Infant Extra Video Camera. Keep an eye on your child wherever they are.

Highly Recommend,
This is the second video monitor I’ve purchased. The first was summer as well but it broke and they discontinued it so I decided to pay more and boy was it worth it!! the screen is hugh and it works every time! I can move the camera with ease to see which of my twins is crying and why. My absolute favorite part about this monitor is it doesn’t pick up all the tiny little sounds the babes make. The last one was so sensitive that I could hear their stomach growl! Get it! And remember that Amazon has a 1 year guarantee on all baby products so if you have a problem you can return it to them and they will replace it instead of having to go through the individual company. super convenient!!!

great purchase,
I hesitated on whether or not to buy the extra camera or to just not use a camera in my older child’s room. I have to say it has been such a great purchase! I love how the system scans between the two cameras every 8 seconds, which seems like a perfect aMount of time. Also, although it is labeled as being a black/white camera mine that came was a color camera, just like the other summer camera. I’m glad I didn’t spend the extra few dollars to get the one labeled as color. This summer monitor is a great purchase and wad easy to sync with my existing set up.

Great monitor but poor battery life,
We just had our second baby (older one is 2), and this is perfect for monitoring both in “scan” mode since you can monitor up to 4 cameras. We keep one camera in each of their bedrooms, one in our bedroom (since the newborn still mostly sleeps in our room), and one is on hand for wherever the newborn ends up napping! The ability to pan is simply brilliant, especially for the 2 year-old who can be all over the place in her room. The talk-back feature also is useful to gently remind the 2 year-old to get back in her bed if she starts to protest nap time. It’s also nice to be able to communicate with a spouse or caregiver who’s in the room with the child. Picture quality is grainy when the camera is distant from your child, but high-def quality shouldn’t be needed for the purpose of child-monitoring. The monitor unit’s battery unfortunately doesn’t last an entire night, so I just keep it plugged in on my nightstand, but that’s really my only criticism. It would be nice if it came with an extra charger so I could keep one up- and one downstairs. If you’re on the fence about video monitoring vs just audio monitoring, go video! You’d be surprised at the vast amount of peace of mind it provides to be able to see that your child is okay.
