Motorola Solutions has opened a new Research and Development (R&D) Centre in Cork, Ireland.
The new site – which is expected to create 200 highly skilled jobs – will house a team initially focused on designing software for the company’s land mobile radio (LMR) portfolio.

Motorola Solutions has deployed more than 13,000 LMR networks worldwide.
The company’s solutions are trusted by governments and enterprises for highly secure communications designed to work in the most extreme conditions.

The new R&D Centre complements Motorola Solutions’ existing footprint in Ireland, which is focused on delivering the emergency services’ communications network – Ireland’s National Digital Radio Service.

The investment is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
