Just opened it up and tested it, and so far, I’m very impressed.
I wasn’t expecting this thing to be so loud, but this thing is SUPER loud. You will not be disappointed.
It is powered by a simple two wire setup.
It has two other wires coming out of the back, both run in loops. The box has instructions as to what these are. One is for the 6dB initial dimming feature. It says that the siren is quieter at first then gets slightly louder. If you cut this looped wire, you can disable this feature. The other looped wire is for the 6 different tones. Yes, this thing does that old horrible changing tone thing, straight out of the ’90s. Don’t worry, just cut this wire, and it will sound like a normal alarm. I cut both, because I couldn’t tell any difference in the ‘quiet chirp’ thing anyways, and who wants it to be quieter?
I’m going to install it tomorrow, so I can’t really speak to quality. It looks and feels good. I’ll have to see how well it hold up though. As of now, I’m very happy though.

Although a little smaller than the first one i had this one’s more placement friendly and just as loud, plus it gives you more tone options than the old one did. Very good quality.

I bought this to replace my alarm horn that kick the bucket. The horn is smaller than the one its replacing. Even so the horn is pretty loud and was easy to integrate it into my current alarm system.
