Instructions for Chromo Inc® Spypen 4GB Pen Camera with Video & Voice Recording
1. 1. To switch between Photo and Video. Unscrew the pen in the middle to open the Spypen. In front of the USB connector is a switch. Move it to the Left for Photo mode or move it to the Right for Recording mode.
2. 2. Photo Mode – Press the top button once to turn the Spypen on. Point the lens, (the red hole directly above the pen clip,) at your subject and press the top button once. Repeat as needed for more photos. Hold down the top button to turn off the Spypen.
3. 3. Video Mode – Press the top button once to turn the Spypen on. Point the lens, (the red hole directly above the pen clip,) at your subject and press the top button once to begin recording. To end recording press top button again. Repeat as needed for more recordings. Hold down the top button to turn off the Spypen.
4. 4. Viewing Photos and Recordings – Take included USB cable and attach to the Spypen and Computer. Open the Spypen Drive on the computer and you will see two files – Image & Video. These files contain your Photos & Recordings.
5. 5. To Charge – Take the included USB cable and plug the Spypen into your computer for it to charge.

The pen arrived very quickly.
It includes an interesting and inexpensive camera that takes both stills and video.
The instructions that came with it were written by someone who doesn’t write English well, and I was unable to decipher them. However, the seller, when asked, quickly sent me these:

The instructions above are accurate, and the pen works great in both modes. The video includes an audio track, so the pen could be used just like a “wire” in a police drama.
And, you can write with it too!
This is a fun product at a reasonable price! I love it!

|Not bad for the price…,
Just received today and it is exactly the same pen as the Swann PenCam…at a slightly lesser cost!. First, make sure to charge fully…The orange LED will stop blinking when it is charged. After you disconnect, if the orange light remains on, press and hold the power button at the top of the pen. TO SET TIME AND DATE…google search Swann PenCam and click on one of the first links the direct you to the official Swann website…scroll down to downloads and run the Write Time program while the Pen is plugged into the USB port and update…it’s that simple! TO RECORD, press top button ONCE when you’re ready! It will turn the pen ON (orange LED) and then begin recording automatically(blue LED)! TO STOP RECORDING press top button once and the LED will turn orange. Once orange, press and hold to turn OFF!
Only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 is because pen seem flimsy! But writes well!

Gracias.. the instructions that come in the box are hard to read.. so i looked in the computer for the instructions and i found them… this pen is gonna b fun to use… great pen, great price… I’ve uploaded a video so u can make your choice.. I’m giving 4 stars because this is not a professional video camera.. but it’s good enough to play around with it n have fun..
