Overall Good Unit,
I’ve never installed anything like this before, so this was a new experience. Overall I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product and clarity of instructions.
I have not used the timeclock software so I cannot comment on that, but the access control software could use improvement. I couldn’t get the Ver. 3 software to work at all so had to revert to ver. 2 (both included on the CD). It gets the job done but is difficult to learn at first.
The unit does not come with a power supply–you are assumed to provide your own 12V/3A DC power, something I wish I knew when ordering. You can find a 12V power adapter on amazon for relatively cheap, but make sure to check what voltage your door equipment requires. Mine required 24V, so I had to get two separate power supplies. This information was not clear when ordering, so hopefully my review helps someone else considering this unit.
Overall, considering the price is way cheaper than anything else, I’d say its money well spent.

|Great Unit,
The only con for this unit is that I had to buy a dc Adapter. Right now I’ve been using it as a Door access unit and Clock too. One of my programmers is building a program for our CRM software. Go for it, is a good unit. I bought it on july 2011 and I have no regrets. Also, I Programmed to stand by after 5 mins. I’m buying my second unit right now…

|Very good product, meets the specifications,
I’ve used this item for a building office together with a electromagnet lock and it worked perfect. The fingerprint reading accuracy es very good and the self built-in menu is friendly to use. The access control and attendance software is very complete and has interesting functions.
